Day 1. Phnom Penh. Visit of the capital and its main monuments: Royal Palace, Wat Phnom, National Museum. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 2. Trip to Siem Reap. Overview of the Cambodian countryside. Shortly before arrival, a boat trip on Tonlé Sap, the mangroves, and a lakeside village little frequented by tourists. Free end of the day, overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3. Temples of Angkor. Visit which begins with the Baphuon, whose restoration has just been completed, then the Bayon with its 54 towers and 200 faces with enigmatic smiles. You will also see the temples of Phimeanakas, Neak Poann and its beautiful basins decorated with Naga, the terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King … Overnight.
Day 4. Angkor temples. This morning you will go to the long awaited Angkor Wat (possibility of an early morning rise to watch the sunrise), then Ta Phrom, famous for its tangles of banyan roots. Then Bantey Srei, a very finely decorated pink sandstone temple: it represents classic Cambodian art at its peak. Finally stop at Bantey Samré. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5. Siem Reap. Visit of the city and its main points of interest including Wat Bo pagoda, the small botanical garden of Senteurs d’Angkor where all the aromatic plants of Cambodia are cultivated. You will see the making of soap and natural dyes. Tour to the market and free time for souvenir shopping… Airport transfer.
